Online Insurance Enrollment and Changes
The Hy-Vee and Affiliates Benefit Plan is happy to announce that we now have an online enrollment system available to our employees and it can be accessed at http://hy-veebenefits.com. The website will replace all paper forms used by the Benefits Department to elect/change/waive your Medical, Dental, Life, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability and flexible spending accounts within the Benefit Plan.
Effective August 18, 2014, if you are new to FDI and electing benefits for the first time OR if you are an existing employee who needs to make a change to your coverage due to a qualifying event; you will do so through the site listed above. All current rules regarding waiting periods, how long employees have to make changes, what plans are offered, who can be covered, etc. will still remain the same. The website provides you with 24/7 access to change your benefits and can be accessed via computer, tablet or smart phone.
To assist you with the transition to the online platform Hy-Vee has provided tutorials on CONNECT: New Hire steps for enrollment and Change your benefits, both of which are available under the Benefits Manuals tab on the HR page of CONNECT. PDF's of the instructions can also be found below. If you need assistance with your CONNECT login/password or cannot access these tutorials please contact your general manager.
